Activities and skills

By the eleventh month, the baby usually starts to point. He puts his fingers in the holes and slits and explores with his sense of touch.

It acquires the ability to differentiate objects. The baby can throw a ball, put things in a box, or grab a spoon by the handle.

His successes make the baby express his emotions. Thus, he will applaud, laugh, among other things. He imitates all the sounds he hears  and uses his voice to get attention instead of crying.

When you dress him up, he helps. He stretches out his arms to put on a piece of clothing or stretches out his feet to put on or take off his shoes. Also, when he plays, he hides his face to hide.

He differentiates Mom and Dad and  identifies them correctly. In addition, he begins to develop his abstract knowledge, such as:

  • Up and down.
  • The numbers 1 and 2.
  • He answers the question: “Where is Daddy?”.
  • Or to “Where’s the foot?”.

All of these new activities demonstrate the skill that an eleven month old baby is developing.
