The importance of encouraging reading in children

Children who read frequently often tend to be more independent, but also to think more deeply and more diversely.

In addition, they are often less prejudiced and are generally more respectful of others. Finally, they are often better able to assimilate information and knowledge. So we can say that reading is very beneficial for the development of children.

In order to foster children’s interest in reading, parental involvement is essential. Therefore, in order to make your children good readers, it is important to provide multiple opportunities for reading stories and books at home with the family. This allows children to grow up adopting good reading habits.

In this sense, it is essential to stress that it is not a question of forcing them. Rather, it is about encouraging them to discover all the stories and adventures that are hidden inside the books. Indeed, they can live these beautiful adventures with many characters as funny and sympathetic one as the other.

Thus, the short film Fantastic Flying Books by Mr. Morris Lessmore allows us to reflect on all these aspects.
